I love them both. Each I haven’t seen in eons. Perhaps I would feel differently after watching Starship Troopers, but I don’t think I’d change my mind about Speed.

Michael Ironside in Starship Troopers is epic.

Starship Troopers and Speed on this list? I mean… I mean… why? Starship Troopers is a great film through and through – it’s one of the best satires I’ve seen in my life. I don’t even remember how many times I’ve watched it, and every time it doesn’t lose its appeal. Back then when it was made, I liked it only because of the action, but as I grew older and really understood it it became one of my favorite films of all time.

The same goes for Speed. Well, its not smart or witty, it’s just helluva-f***ing-balls-to-the-wall-awesome! Was back then, and still is today. It has a B-film script, but I think it was done extremely well.

I think this list was written to stir a few feathers rather than find the ten worst films ever made. For that I applaud you!

I agree with you on Dude, Where’s My Car but all the rest have, at the very least, some entertainment value. I like your tongue in cheek comments – Don’t Tell Mom is terrible but I remember loving it when I was younger, for example. I do hate Alien 4 and think it deserves it’s place on this list but the saddening fact is the Predator V Alien films have made Alien 4 look better than it is.

I can’t believe you included “Don’t Tell Mom” on this list — not because it’s not awesomely bad because I thought I was the only person who’d admit to having seen this! It was a typical teen movie, but I like Christina Applegate. She’s kind of grown out of her Kelly Bundy phase, thank God, and into a very good comedic actress.

Okay, Okay………..I find that to be understandable to a degree. It was the one I was most conflicted about putting on the list, but it IS kind of a bad movie, even if it was purposely made bad and is way too smart for it’s audience. It’s a clever movie and I love it, and I’m sure I would agree with most of your points as to WHY it’s a good movie. But for now I’m comfortable with leaving it on this list.

I just hated Into The Blue all together. The only redeeming thing about it was the half naked cast. If that’s part of a basis for an awesomely good movie, then I concede your point. I think Paul Walkers awesomely bad career is better represented through The Fast And Furious franchise myself though.
