It was both touching and humorous to see DiCaprio and De Niro paying tribute to Martin Scorsese. As a film critic and buff I can not help but love all of his work. Each of his great films have been a nice look into the lives of so many different characters. For the most he has the ability to truly represent the Italian culture and the Mafia. My favorite films are Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Casino and Gangs of New York. I am truly looking forward to seeing Shutter Island. The montage of his body of work was awesome. I loved hearing some of the excellent songs that bring back so many memories from the time I have spent in theaters. I look forward to many many more years of Martin Scorsese’s greatness.
His acceptance speech was wonderful. His love and knowledge of film by far surpasses most people. It is great to see that someone is so passionate about film and film restoration.
Movies are definitely the memory of a lifetime and I for one am sure that Scorsese’s films will live on forever!

Scorsese was the man. I was so happy to watch him accept his award, and Leo and Bobby have been there to tell his stories for his career. Brilliant, humble, and a class act.
