Youth in Revolt is directed by Miguel Arteta and stars Michael Cera, Steve Buscemi, Ray Liotta and Zach Galifianakis. I am a huge Michael Cera fan. As bad as this may sound I never watched Arrested Development. My first experience with Cera was Superbad. He is also great in Nick & Norahs Infinite Playlist. Many people may not be aware of his project called Clark And Michael with his good friend Clark Duke whom many of you may remember from the movie Sex Drive and the television show Greek.
I digress, the plot revolves Nick Twisp, played by Cera, who falls madly in love with Sheeni Saunders, played by Portia Doubleday and turns his entire life and the lives of his family upside down to win her affection. Youth in Revolt reminds me of The Sure Thing (1985) with John Cusack. I am excited to see this wonderful combination of character actors and hope you are too!
Personally, I’ve never seen a single episode of “Arrested Development.” I realize this makes me a terrible white person, but there you have it. All I know about Michael Cera I learned from his movies and from the genius and funny “Clark and Michael Show” online.
There we be awful white people together. I’ve never seen anything but previews and box sets for it. I didn’t even know Michael Cera was on it. I’ve enjoyed him quite a bit since, especially in Juno.
YES, I am so glad to hear you have experienced the genius which is Clark And Michael. Cera is great but Clark Duke truly has some wonderful comic timing.
