Mobsters Rating: Mobsters Rating: The geeks are already out in force praising the cleverness of the Joss Whedon/Drew Goddard creation Cabin in the Woods. This isn’t surprising given Whedon’s pedigree; since the Buffy/Angel days he merely has to sign his name to something and a certain fan-base will immediately pull ... Read More

Mobsters Rating: With the dual releases of ‘War Horse’ and ‘The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’, the Spielberg I remember from my youth returns to the big screen. Our reviewer across the pond, Jarv, sent in this review and it sounds like a doozy. It's apparently a psychological horror film in the vein of The Wicker Man, and sounds like a mix of modern indie filmmaking and 70's existential thrillers. I'm personally intrigued by this, and anxious to see it. There's been ... Read More

Posted On 27 May 2011 By Bartleby. Under 2011, 3.5 Stars (Exceptional), Action, Action-Adventure, Animated, By Genre, Comedy, Family/Kids, Fantasy, Reviews.
Mobsters Rating: ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’ is the kind of movie that gives sequels a good name. Black Swan (2010)
Darren Aronofsky isn’t a prolific filmmaker, but when he does create, he delivers with nothing short of a demented genius. He wowed everyone with “The Wrestler” recently, and now astounded audiences with the acclaimed, “Black Swan”, where Natalie Portman won her best actress Oscar.

Review: The Strangers (2008)
For a great Halloween scary watch, have a date night with yourself, turn out the lights, forget to lock your doors, and I guarantee you that you will cautiously pause it halfway threw just to go lock them and take a nervous peek outside your windows. That’s how this movie deserves to be watched, otherwise it may just be another horror movie.
