The Last Unicorn (1982)
This is a film I’ve recommended often over the years. The first time I saw this I was a young child and was completely enthralled by it. After years I’d forgotten all about it until my own kids were born and then revisited it. I was completely surprised to see exactly how melancholy and darkly appealing it was, at times even disturbing. Of all the dark and villainous characters the Red Bull was by far the most frightening. Chasing and hunting down all the unicorns in the world and keeping their spirits prisoner, forever tormenting them was absolutely terrifying as a child and extraordinarily eerie even as an adult.

I don’t like this Red Bull guy, he sounds mean! I’ve never seen this one so I hope he gets what’s coming to him in the end!
Hahahaha……….Will, you should see this movie. It’s right up your ally. It’s cartoon kids film horror fantasy scary. Yes, that sentence ran on. But it’s an accurate description at least.
Never heard of this, I will try to get a hold of it, definitely sounds like a memorable one!

The Red Bull is fairly gangster I think. Or perhaps it’s just that I’m partial to The Last Unicorn.
OHMYLORDY I remember The Red Bull now — I had blocked him from my consciousness! Eek! I recall seeing this as a kid and it unnerved me just as much as “Gremlins” did.
