Here is an update on Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers filming locations and villains that will appear!
As you may know filming will begin on Avengers early next year in New Mexico, New York and Michigan. A local paper in New Mexico revealed some of the villains that will show up in the film:
“‘The Avengers’ script will blend ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Thor,’ and ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ story lines as the Avengers battle with two alien races, the Skrulls and the Kree.”
If you are not familiar with the comic books, the Kree are an intelligent alien race and the Skrull’s are a reptile-looking race that both inhabit the planet Hala. These two races are embroiled in a bitter battle that has waged for one hundred years. This battle has made it’s way to Earth and The Avengers must step in to save the day.
I have lots of hope for The Avengers, but it’s ultimate success will lay heavily with the success of both Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger. If audiences do not like those films this could The Avengers could be affected. What are your thoughts on this news?

Love the Skrulls. Always worry when they try to ground these characters in the real world and then add an outer worldly element that things can go wrong.

I’m skeptical, but I have hope in Whedon. The Skrulls though…tough to pull off.
