  1. Can’t say I’m happy that Sandra Bullock won, but I am happy for Jeff Bridges.

  2. I’m a little torn about the Best Actress category because I’m sick of Meryl Streep getting nominated just because she shows up on a movie set and because I didn’t see “The Last Station” or “An Education.” Against Sandra Bullock I’d root for Gabourey. But this year, honestly? Wasn’t feeling this category.

Best Actor, on the other hand, I was all over. Loved George Clooney in “Up in the Air,” loved Jeremy Renner in “Hurt Locker” and loved, loved, LOVED Jeff Bridges the only so-so “Crazy Heart.” I’m a little sad I didn’t see “The Messenger” or “A Single Man,” since I like both Harrelson and Firth very much.

I agree with you M.Carter. The best actress category was a sleep zone this Oscar. In fact, it was all too predictable……..and I”m still pissed Tarantino was forgotten all together.
