Mob News: Movie Alert!

Here are some upcoming films to be on the lookout for.

The Hobbit IS GREENLIT

Finally after much behind the scenes turmoil this film has been Greenlit and will begin shooting in November.

EDIT – May 30th:

The Hobbit has been postponed indefinitely.  GEEZ this truly is horrible.  Unfortunately when behind the scenes problems plague a film people get turned off.  This is however one film that could overcome this.

Release Dates:

I am under the firm belief that Hollywood executives believe that if they slap together a sequel or a 3D movie it will be box office gold.   Some of these films below will do awesome and I am skeptical of a couple.  Are YOU excited to see any of these?

Sherlock Holmes 2 – Mid -December 2011

Red Riding Hood - April 22, 2011

The Hangover 2 – May 26, 2011

Green Lantern 3D – June 17, 2011

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II 3D – July 15, 2011

Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 3D – September 23, 2011

Happy Feet 2 – November 18, 2011

New Year’s Eve – December 9, 2011 (A sequel to Valentine’s Day)

New Batman Film – July 2012

Superman movie – flying into theaters during the holiday season 2012.

    Some of these recycled repeatisms are a bit annoying, but I look forward to Sherlock Holmes 2, Deathly Hallows, and of course the new Batman.

    I’ll take everything except for Journey to the Center of the Earth 2… no need for that. I could do without Happy Feet as well but my kids’ll dig it!

      I am feeling the same way about both of those movies. I have actually yet to see Happy Feet or Journey.

    So much for the Hobbit being greenlit lol… Hope they make the scheduled Winter 2012 and Winter 2013 release dates…

      Yeah, I’ve stopped updating it at this point. Hollywood would rather churn out more sequels and 3D.

    I’m probably one of the few people who loathed The Hangover. Just horrible for me, and now a sequel?

      It was boring. Like I’ve said, that’s just a Tuesday night for me. Definitely not into a sequel.
