  1. To be honest (when am I not?) I’m somewhere between slightly annoyed and uncaring. I’ve said it before but I’m waiting for Rupert Grint’s career to take off, he’s so easily my favourite persons under 30 in the entire series (although it could be residual love for the character).

(on that note, what is with the remakes? of all things to remake a war drama. how very trite.)

WWI remake at that….I saw the original once, can’t quite remember it….Though I think I pretty muich put t in te category that most movies from the 20′s occupy in my mind — a little too old to seem relevant, but recognized as a great achievement in film.

      • I have a feeling, though, they saw old WW Oscar winning flick and hope to make lightning strike twice. Personally, I prefer war films that are a little more atypical…but we shall see.

Me too. Black Hawk Down is one of my favs and is certainly no fan favorite of the general population.

          And Patton. ;)

Wow! I was impressed by him in the latest Harry Potter, but come on! This is going to be a joke, only if he shows some skin. I know sounding a lil homosexual, but that’s the only way people, may get away from the fact that this is Mr. Potter we’re talking about.

I guess he’s been doing London Theater (which is as prestigious as doing horse tricks in Texas).

All Quiet is fairl ensemble though, so I’d be surprised if this is the one that gets his post-Potter Profession Pioneered

Good for him! Let me tell you..I saw him on Broadway in “Equus” and he was nothing short of dynamite. A terrifc, raw, uninhibited and gutsy performance. He was a wonder to watch and great in the role. So yes, I think he does have a long career ahead of him…a fine young actor.

    • Good for him, then. No hard feelings towards him, he comes and goes in the talent department for me in the HP films and this other film I saw him in I can’t recall…he certainly seems to have a niche.

I think he’s “stuck” in the role of Harry, but at the same time he’s progressed. In Goblet everything was big gasped and otherwise to emote, and now he’s utilizing more subtle strokes (a sign he can separate theatre from film-people need know how different each are) to show emotions. His character has been through hell and I believe it. I think he’ll have a career ahead of him. This may not be the one that does it, but it’s a step.

      • I’m still harping on Grint, though. Radcliffe needs to stop trying to be some technical, he has issues sometime with trying too hard but it’s been great watching them all grow up and they are getting better at it.

  4. It’s nice to see Dan attempting to branch out and continue acting now that the Harry Potter series is over. He doesn’t have to work another day in his life, yet he is still trying to find work. Just shows that he truly loves acting.

Part of my soul just died a little bit. I love the original version, in fact, I might even say it’s the greatest war film ever made. Hearing that the lead will go to someone as deadpan and incompetent as Radcliffe.

Plus, they shouldn’t be remaking this film to begin with, especially since the already remade it already.

I would recommend you watch My Boy Jack and you may be able to see a different side of Radcliffe from the wizarding world. I think he is definitely capable of this role but alas I have not seen the original version.
