Maggie Grace has been cast in the role of Irina in the final installments of the Twilight series Breaking Dawn. The film will be directed in two parts by Bill Condon. The first of two films will be released by Summit Entertainment on November 18, 2011, followed by the finale on November 16, 2012.
For those of you who have not read the books, Irina is a member of the Denali coven and a pivotal character in the last films. They are vampire clan that does not feast on humans. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events.
I have been a fan of Maggie Grace since she was on LOST. She is a good actress and will be a great addition to this stellar cast. I am very excited about the last two films and Bill Condon being the director. They are going to be very dark and have lots of action much like the last two Harry Potter films.
What are your thoughts on Maggie Grace being added to the cast of Twilight?

This should make Maggie another teen idol and increase her exposure exponentially. Good for her I guess

Am I the only one who doesn’t care who they cast. I’m not a Twi-hater but even if they got Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp, the films are still gonna be what they are.

Kai I am sorry to say you are probably not the only one. I think these films are actually pretty good for what they are. Bill Condon is a good director and I think the last two films will be amazing.
He’s a strange directing choice but very talented. And the story certainly gets more interesting from here forward.

I’m not sure the casting in Twilight is as important as all the other elements of the story, especially considering there are so many cast members by the final few films. I still haven’t seen Eclipse, but I will. I’m not a Twiheart by any means, though I’ve liked the flicks thus far.
