Check out this first image of the famed Dr. Suess character, The Lorax from the upcoming film to be voiced by Danny DeVito!
Chris Meledandri who along with Jimmy Hayward brought us Horton Hears A Who is also behind this 3D adaptation of The Lorax coming to theaters March 2012. Other stars lending their voices to the film include Ed Helms, Betty White, Rob Riggle and Zac Efron.
If you are expecting the same story that you remember as a child you will be disappointed because they will be introducing new characters in this version. Rob Riggle, Betty White and Zac Efron’s characters are new. Riggle will voice O’Hare who sells cans of fresh air to the polluted world the Once-ler (Helms) creates and wants to keep it that way. Efron will voice a young boy named Ted and Betty White will voice the character of his Grandma.

And Danny DeVito is voicing the Lorax? Really? I’ll have to buy a ticket just to bust a gut at hearing his voice come out of this character’s mouth.
