Here are the new releases for 4-20:
I have not had a chance to see this movie in theaters but it looks good and I like Emily Blunt. The costuming looks pretty cool as well. I must admit I have not been blown away by period pieces that often and hope this will win me over. If you have seen it and think I should watch it let me know.
Sandra Bullock was great in this movie. I think this is a decent sports film with a great message that is not beat over your head. I think this is one that I would watch again, but I will not go out of my way to rent it.
The eeriness of Stanley Tucci’s character and the visually stunning dreamworld sequences make this movie very worthwhile. I think it will likely look fabulous on Blu Ray. If you have not seen it yet, now is a great time.
Do you have any recommendations for films to list in future Queued Up posts? Please let me know what you are interested in seeing and what I should see. Leave recommendations in the comments.
The Young Victoria just looks like your normal period piece: boring, good lead performance, but nothing new learned.
The Young Victoria is okay. It’s perfect for a lazy Sunday…but I agree, there’s nothing new about it all. If you’re expecting a clever indepth portrayal of Queen Victoria, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re like me and enjoy a good chick flick now again, then you should check it out!
the lovely bones is already out on DVD? I didn’t see it in the cinema but it feels like yesterday that I saw it advertised…
Yes The Lovely Bones is already out. It feels like I just watched that last month in theaters.
Wow, I’m surprised as well. I’ll have to not hurry up to see it. ha.
The Young Victoria was better than I thought, not my taste, but well done.
It’s got more in common with The Queen than with Elizabeth – not sure if that sways anyone either way. It definitely makes me want to watch The Queen again.
